Maggie Hall is a former social worker and criminal lawyer with extensive experience in the criminal justice system in NSW. Her work focuses on the lived experience of people in the criminal justice system and seeks to connect the different facets of criminal justice, from arrest through sentencing, imprisonment or diversion, parole and life in the community. Attention to  subjective experience has led to an interest in emotions and law, including remorse. Current projects include a chapter in a forthcoming edited collection on remorse and a collaborative book about coproduction in criminal justice.
