Elena Faccio is Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology at the Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Pedagogy and Applied Psychology (FISPPA) of the University of Padua. She is interested in investigating the issues of identity and change, both from a theoretical and a clinical point of view. She is the author of numerous researches and of three volumes on bodily and alimentary diseases in the perspective of the dialogic self and interactionist approach; She is also interested in the theme of language and its relevance in the process of constructing and negotiating meanings in psychotherapy. Another area of research and in-depth study is that concerning gender variations and sexuality. She teaches the following subjects: "Clinical Psychology of Interaction" "Interventions in Clinical Psychology of Interaction" and "Methods and Techniques in Interactionism and Constructivism" at the Clinical-Dynamic Master Degree. She also teaches at the Ph.D. School in Social Science of the same University and at the Master in Mediation in institutional contexts. She is involved in collaborations with colleagues from the University of Melbourne (Au), from Hertfordshire (UK), from Poznan (Adam Mickiewicz University, Poland), University of Clarck (USA), and in Italy with Milano Bicocca, Milan Cattolica, Bergamo, Bari, Palermo and Catania.
