Dr. Wendell C. Wallace is a Criminologist who lectures in Criminology and Criminal Justice at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. He is also a certified Mediator with the Mediation Board of Trinidad and Tobago as well as a Barrister who has been called to the Bar in both England and Wales and Trinidad and Tobago. In 2014, he was awarded the best Doctoral paper by the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS), Juvenile Justice Section for his research paper “Addressing the unmet educational needs of children and youth in detention in Trinidad and Tobago.” In 2017, he received the Frederic Milton Thrasher Award for Superior Accomplishments in Gang Research from the National Gang Crime Research Center (NGCRC) in the United States.
