Allen George is a lecture in Socio-Legal Studies, University of Sydney, Australia. His PhD examining hate crime and the LGBTIQ community was awarded by the University of Newcastle, Australia. His research interests include LGBTIQ people and the law, hate crime and victimisation of LGBTIQ people and how practices of transitional justice are use by states to address past repressive actions against LGBTIQ communities.
