James Gacek recently completed his Doctoral Candidacy at Edinburgh Law School, University of Edinburgh. He has lectured in criminology and criminal justice at the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg, Canada. He continues to publish in the areas of incarceration, critical issues in media and justice studies, the regulation of obscenity and indecency, the politics of judicial reasoning, and exploitative relationships between humans and animals.
